Isabel is a diverse Music Composer with the ability to write in a multitude of different genres. She has worked on creating custom music for a number of films, adverts, TV, animations and live performances; Isabel has the creativity to imagine music with picture. Her most recent score gained an Official Selection for the Soundtrack category at the Golden Short Film Festival.

Isabel is a recent graduate from BA Hons Music Production for Media at Ravensbourne University London, an innovative, industry-focused university sector college located opposite The O2 Arena in the heart of London. Originally from Sittingbourne, Kent, Isabel has moved to London to pursue her dream of having a career in composing.

 

Her love for music started from a very young age, making music part of some of her earliest memories; including receiving her first keyboard on her 3rd birthday from her parents. At the age of 5 Isabel started having piano lessons and being classically trained, as well as completing her ABRSM Grades 1, 2 & 3 exams.

 

As well as piano lessons, Isabel enjoyed attending music clubs within primary & secondary school, as well as external clubs such as the Kent Music School and residential music summer school programmes.

After many years of this, Isabel decided to take a different direction down the musical path, she discovered at GCSE music, when she was introduced to basic music software (Garageband), that her passion lied with the composing and technology side of music, rather than the performing side.

​

She then attended Canterbury College for two years to do Level 3 Music Technology BTEC Extended Diploma. Here, she learnt many new skills including Live sound, Acoustics, Audio Engineering, Aural Perception/Music Theory, Music Events Management, Music & Sound for Moving Image, Studio Recording/Music Production, Sequencing & Sound creation. It was here that Isabel found her feet on the musical path and decided that she would love to compose music for either film, TV or games as a career. 

 

At University, Isabel gained a number of skills, as well as refining her knowledge with all things music. During her first year, Isabel participated in various units, including music industry, music theory, music studio recording and post production and Popular music. During second year, Isabel studies music and sound for moving image, electronic arrangement, Modes of production and music and sound for interactive media. During third year, Isabel studies Hollywood film composing, dissertation, final major project and a collaboration portfolio unit.

As well as this, Isabel has taken the opportunity to collaborate with fellow peers of the Film, Television and animation courses at university, working on a number of projects, composing music for various forms of media.
